Just got back from the show and , to steal a line from Joey Styles...OH...MY...GOD!! Loudest and in my opinion, biggest crowd to date. It was at least 200 people but they sounded like 500. Even before the official start, the seats were filled three rows deep. It was phenominal. On to the results...

DARK MATCH
The Bee Machine Vs Cecil Nix.

Crowd didn't quite know what to male of the Bee Machine, his antics were a little strange and the moves were choppy and well, honestly , sloppy and mistimed. The crows was almost totally silent. Not a great start in my opinion. The Bee machine won the match with a "BAMBI KILLER" reverse Piledrive that for lack of an official name, I am calling the "BAM-BEE Killer" LOL

Main Draw.

Sexxxy Eddie and Addy Starr Vs Rahim ali "The Prince of Persia" and Rush.

Eddie and Addy come to the ring and Eddie attempts to coax Addy to undress him. She gets scooped up and placed on the mat and as Eddie is about to do his trademark mount, she stops him. She surprises everyone turning the tables and tells Eddie to lay down. The crowd blew the roof off the plaxe at this point and it wouldn't stop. Just as Addy was about to straddle Eddie, Rush and Ali's music hits. I have never seen a crowd turn so fast. For a moment I was actually thinking a riot may happen. Ali let's everyone know they are now known as the NBA. (Natural Born A**HOLES). They attempt to recruit Addy to their ranks but a quick kick and a series of moves seals her rejection. Decent match with plenty of good spots, great crowd reaction to both sides. I have never heard a crowd into a match like this one. Addy picked up the win after Eddie superkicked a chair into Ruh's face and she bulldogged him onto it for the pin.

Winners Eddie and Addy.
Spot of the match. Eddie's superkick, sending Rush's chair into his own face. Loudest THUD and loudest pop of the match
3/5

Scott "JAGGED" Parker VS Seth Seifer

Decent match. A fair amount of Technical moves as well as a sprinkling of high spots. Still seems odd to see Jagged without Shane Matthews but I could get used to it. A few racial slurs sprinkled on top for some heel heat and, you have a semi good lower card match. I think when Seifer gets his groove in, this kid will be great. Jagged, same deal. All around decent match, could have been better, could have been way worse. Jagged wins it with what looked like an arm keylock hold.
Spot of the match. It may not be PC but after a couple of racial remarks, the YES WE CAN slap.
Winner Scott "Jagged" Parker.
Spot of the match - Parker hitting the hanging lamp while trying to taunt the audience. I have never seen a heel blush before. LOL

Chaz Lovely open Challenge. Chaz, nor anyone in attendance expected the challenge to be answered by an individual we have not seen in C*4 since last season, The look on his face saud it all when he was answered by one half of the flatliners, ASYLUM. Chaz fought for his life in this one. A lot of avoiding and reversals by Chaz but in the end, was not enough to overcome the huge power and size advantage of Asylum who won, what looked to be an easy match. with and "ANGELS WINGS NECKBREAKER" Awesome move, I must say. On a personal note. I found it amazing, and as anyone who attended could tell you, the crowd never cooled down. They were just getting hotter and hotter. It was the first time I had ever gotten that "BIG FIGHT FEELING" from a C*4 show.
Spot of the match - The finishing move. Absolutely awesome.

Xtremo Vs. Jae Rukin

Now I may catch hell for this but I mean no disrespect. In the past I have seen both these guys wrestle and I knew if they showed up "To Work" and didn't phone it in, it would be the darkhorse match of the night. Was I ever right. These two had their boots on, and they showed up in spades. This match had the crowd on fire. These two hit warp speed and never slowed down. Move, reversal, move, counter high spot, high spot reversal. It was un-freakin-believable. I didn't want the match to end. If I have said anything bad about Xtremo in the past, I was wrong, and as for Rukin, The sky is the limit. Rukin actually executed a very impressive cross legged fisherman's buster which the crowd exploded for. The match came to an end, sadly, as I could have watched a one hour match with these two, when Xtremo missed a twxt book 450 splash and Rukin caught him with a beautiful Majistrol cradle to secure the win. The crowd would then deliver it's first standing ovariion of the night. The two shooj hands in the center of the ring.
Winner - Rukin
Spot of the match - Start to finish, impossible to narrow it down.
4/5

"The Canadian Crazyhorse" Michael Elgin Vs Manabu Soya

I knew going into this match that Soya was a strong style athelete, as was Elgin but , and I will say it again, OH MY GOD... This was and I think will be for quite some time, the most hard hitting, stiff, and brutal match I have seen live. Soya is a big dude and hits like a truck. Elgin is just awesome. These two beet the holy high Hell outta each other in what was a toss up for match of the night. These two were Brutally still but technically sound, with each move that involved a slam, shaking the ring. At one point elgin was doing a running knee strike sequence on Soya in the corner and the ring moved. I jid you not. The chops were absolutely scintilating. Each one echoeing through the KOC hall. They traded full out stiff shots to the face for about thirty seconds and it was absolutely sickening to hear the blows land, and I was in the second row. Elgin won the match with a powerbomb that almost caved in the ring. I was in awe. Cue the second standing Ovation of the night, and rightfully so.
Winner Michael Elgin.
Spot of the match - The running knees into the corner. BRUTAL
4/5

Kushida VS MVP

This was one of the ones I was anticipating. I have seen a lot of Kushida and I am a fan. I also respect the talent and ability of MVP. Another match with brutal kicks and brutal chops. This was a wrestling versus martial arts style of match. MVP was using evey hold he could and every move he knew as Kushida was kicking and chopping the snot out of him.MVP eventually hit his underhook back breaker and would have gotten the three had the ref not seen his feet on the ropes. The ref breaking it up, just long enough for Kushida to refain his composure and cave in the back of MVP's head with a Buzzsaw kick. Tajiri style. The three count, as they say, was a formality.
Winner Kushida
Spot of the match - Again, not just one but the chop fest between the two. I wasn't even in the ring and I wanted to cry.
3/5

Twiggy & Beef Wellington VS The Warriors (Josh Alexander & "Psycho" Mike Rollins)

I was honestly expecting a comedy fest with Beef and Rollins in the same match but it was more toned down then I had expected. Good back and forth action, Josh with the technical clinic as usual and Rollins throwing in the power edge. Beef and Twiggy were doing the usual avoid and counter that has made them successful. Some nice moves and some great chain wrestling. Excellent tag team moves from the Warriors and surpringly from the team of Beef and Twiggy. Match ended when Josh mounted the top rope but took too long and Beef sent Rollins into the ropes crotching Alexander, Twiggy then hit the off the yop senton for the pin on Alexander. After the match , Josh, who didn't look happy with his partner, all but turned his back on Rollins and left.
Winner Beef Wellington and Twiggy
Spot of the Match - Beef Crusifix bombing Twiggy onto Josh Alexander's chest.
3/5

Tyson Dux Vs El Generico

In what was dubbed "The Battle of the Brainbusters" one could only imagine what move would end this match. The match started out extremely slowly and actually started to kill the crowd . Generico, who thrives off of the fan support, fired up and started to fire back and take the fight to Dux, who was i full retreat mode. The two traded advantages back and forth until both men were spent. They executed identical moves on each other a number of times and both were in essence, out on their feet. Generico, managed to get Dux into the corner and took his head off with a sickening running Yakuza to the corner with seemingly no effect as Dux came right back with his trademarked Brainbuster, and both were down again. The battle resumed and eventually ended up on the top rope where Generico was attempting to execute the Brainbustaaaahh (Brain Buster onto the top turnbuckle) but was blocked, leading to Dux hitting the Brainbuster again toscore the win on the spent Generico.
Winner Tyson Dux
Spot of the match - The running Yakuza on Dux in the corner.

MAIN EVENT
C*4 Championship Triple Threat Match
"Mr Wrestling" Kevin Steen Vs Kiyoshi Vs Stupified.

By the time this match started the crowd was pretty much rabid. Even people I talked to at intermission who had never been to a show before admitted they got caught up in everyone else and were screaming and yelling. This is pretty much what you would expect, with the two Ferraris, racing around and the Tank trying to catch them. Eventually Steen got Kiyoshi to team with him and double up on Stupified which only lasted until the pin attempt by Steen. Now, we are back to a three way again. As in the matches with the other Japanese stars, the chops were ridiculously loud. My ears are still ringing. Stupified proved to me that he belongs in the MAIN EVENT picture. Kiyoshi, although impressive, not so much. Being trained by the great Muta, you would expect a little more. It may have just been me, eeryone else seemed to love it. Either way. Stupified provided enough high flying moves to keep the crowd hot. Kiyoshi's kicks and chops did their damage, but in the end, the overwhelming power advantage of the champion won out as he retained his title with a sit out powerbomb on Stupified. I believe that is how the match ended, I had someone, standing in front of me calling on the entire crowd!! AHHHH Good times.

Final Thoughts

I am waiting on attendance numbers right now but I am positive they set a new record tonight. [Edit Note: 200+] An awesome show with an awesome crowd. The best ever. C*4 and Mark, should be proud as Hell of what they put on tonight. In my opinion, this is why C*4 is the DOMINANT brand of indy wrestling in Ottawa and they will continue to DOMINATE in the future. Pat yourself on the back Mark. You set Vanier on fire tonight.

To people who missed it buy the DVD and you will see one of the best nights of wrestling Ottawa has ever seen.

Thank You
